S.A.D.N.E.S.S.

A child at my school died yesterday. It was a sudden sickness and then it was over.
Her lil' sister is in my class..
And I am not sure how this is going to affect my whole class. They all knew her, and loved her as the big sis of someone in my class...
I am devastated for the family...

How terribly tragic! Just horrible!

Gosh, I don't envy you that. We've had several parents die in our school, but not a sibling.

I do know that your littles may startle you with odd questions - but it is just because they are so literal. When my oldest son Aidan was about 5, he kept asking me where he'd "go" if he found his dad and I dead (like - I wanted to discuss that, anyway!?!) I kept telling him that he'd live with so-and-so. But, that wasn't good enough, he was actually envisioning finding us dead on the floor and where would he GO? To what house? What would he say? So, take their questions at the most basic level.

This is really when it is good to work in a religious school, though. I'll pray for you; as a mom I'm sure it scares and horrifies you, too. Bless you, sweet friend.

Julianne,
This breaks my heart. It's a reminder of what I need to stop whining.
